Habits can either be your greatest enemy or your greatest ally. Habits run our lives without us even realising it.
This year I have been trying to build some new healthy habits and breaking some bad ones. I can say it has not been easy, but I expected that. A few of my bad habits include using my phone every morning and night, spending hours watching my favourite shows and sleeping irregular hours.
I knew I couldn’t stop all these habits all at once so I started with fixing my sleeping habits; I still go to sleep late, however, I wake up much earlier than before which leads to more productivity. Coupled with waking up earlier, I also exercise almost every morning now. I have been trying to make this a habit for some time, but only this year has it lasted over a month which I am proud of.
I heard that if I do something for 6 months, it becomes a habit, so right now that is my goal. In 5 months, exercising and waking up early will be a part of my regular lifestyle.
If I eliminate one bad habit at a time, I am confident I will become a more happy and healthy woman.
