For as long as I can remember, I have invested most of my time towards my studies and schooling. I don’t regret studying hard in high school as it has made me more disciplined and allowed me to decide what to study. However, as I move forward in university, I have become aware of how I have limited myself from learning new things due to the abundance of time I have dedicated to my exams. This is because my aim has always been to do the best I possibly can in school.
A new approach has been introduced to me which I would like to share. What if I allocate just enough time to pass my units rather than to do really well in them? If I did that, there would be considerably more time for me to venture into new hobbies and interests that would be even more helpful to me such as investing or even starting my own business.
What I decide to do will be determined by my priorities. My education has always been one of my highest priorities, but if that becomes less of a high priority I suddenly have much more freedom to earn money and form helpful relationships. In addition to this, I can expand on my ways of thinking and learning.
Balance is the key to life, and now that I am aware of how much time I allocate to my studies, I can start to make a change in how I balance my life. In the future, I am to balance a few important things, instead of focusing on just one. It will take time for me to change this, but now that I am aware, I am willing to change because I understand that this will definitely bring me greater success and happiness in the future.
