In one of my classes today we learned a little about how harmful sitting can be, specifically sitting for very long durations of time without getting up. It increases your risk of cardiovascular disease and essentially leads to an earlier death; this was only one research article so I can’t be certain of this information though. But it definitely did make me aware of how most of my day is made up of sitting, and the worst part is that exercising doesn’t reduce your risk. I am going to try and walk more often to limit my sitting times.
