In university I am finishing up a group project, however, I am starting a new one very soon as well. I plan to learn from my experience and try new methods when communicating with my new group. It is very difficult since all the communication is through online methods, so we really need to make use of our time well. Meaning I should be well prepared for the first meeting. The group meeting has three phases: Scan, Focus and Act
Scan consists of building group dynamics, getting to know each other and planning.
Focus involves assigning tasks, identifying what we are going to do, answering questions and addressing any confusion.
Act is actually doing the task, for this stage to be effective, all group members must participate in the scan and focus phases.
