In life, there will be many obstacles, big and small that will hinder us. What is important is that we should not be swayed by the small predicaments because, in the grand scheme of things, they are only minuscule details.
The path to our goals is long, and it is never easy. Problems that may seem significant, such as losing your job, finding out your partner has been cheating on you or failing a test are simply a rainy day. The rain won’t pour forever, though the storm may prolong for some time, however, if we change our attitude to realise that the storm will pass we will be able to see the light on the other side.
I am learning to count my blessings when I am confronted with situations that at the moment seem to be holding me back. I remind myself that I am healthy, I have a home, I have a family that loves me, and friends that support me and come to the conclusion that I am extremely lucky.
When I look back at the past, I see how I became distressed over minor things, and over time I have learned that no one’s life is perfect, so I shouldn’t expect mine to be.
